Family-owned junk removal in Meridian, Idaho

A whole house is a big job. That's fine.

A move, a downsize, a big change in the family. Whatever the reason, there's a whole house of stuff and not enough weekends to deal with it.

We clear it room by room or all at once, your call. You point out what stays. Anything still useful gets offered for donation first, and the rest is loaded, hauled and disposed of properly.

When we leave, the floors are swept and the house is ready for whatever comes next.

A whole house is a big job. That's fine.

What a whole-house cleanout looks like

It starts with a walk-through. You show us the house, room by room, and tell us what's staying, what's going to family, and what you're still deciding on. Some people put sticky notes on the keepers. Others move everything they're keeping into one room we don't touch. Either way, that one step saves more confusion than anything else we do.

Then we work from the back of the house toward the front door. Rooms get emptied in order, so you can watch the progress and close off the finished ones. Furniture comes apart when it has to. Loose stuff goes into bags or bins as we go. When a room is empty, it gets swept before we move to the next.

Moving out of state or into a smaller place? We can work around the movers. They take what's going with you, and we take everything that isn't.

What decides how big the job is

No two houses are alike, so we price after we've seen it, either in person or in photos. The things that matter most:

  • How full it is, more than how big it is. A large house with normal furniture can be quicker than a small one packed to the ceiling.
  • The garage, attic, crawl space and sheds. People forget about them, and they're often the fullest spots.
  • Stairs, long carries and tight parking.
  • Heavy things like a chest freezer, a gun safe or a pool table.
  • Whether you want it done in one push or over a few visits.

You'll know the price before we start, and whether it's going to take more than one load.

  3. 03

    It's gone

We show up on time, load it, sweep up and haul it off. You don't lift a thing.

Before we come, and after we haul

Pull out anything you know you're keeping before the crew arrives: paperwork, photos, medications, spare keys, chargers, the things you'd be upset to lose. Empty the fridge if it's going. Give the neighbors a heads-up that a truck will be in the driveway for a while.

Put paint, chemicals and old fuel together in one spot. We can't haul those, but Ada County's household hazardous waste facility at the landfill takes them from households for free, and we'll point you to it.

On the way out, we sort. Furniture, kitchen things, clothes and decor in decent shape go to donation. Appliances and scrap metal go to recyclers. Cardboard gets recycled where we can. Only what's left goes to the landfill, and that's the last stop, not the first.

House cleanout questions

Do I have to sort everything before you come?+

No. Set aside what you're keeping, or just walk us through it when we arrive. We'll handle the sorting.

Can you do it in stages?+

Yes. Some families want one room at a time. Others want it all gone in a day. Either works.

What about things that are still good?+

Donation is our first stop for anything usable. It's better for you, better for someone else, and better than the landfill.

Do I have to stay while you work?+

Just for the walk-through, if you can. After that, plenty of people head out and come back to an empty house. We'll text photos as we go if you'd like.

Should you come before the movers or after?+

Either works. Some people want the junk gone first so the movers only see what's going. Others have us come after the moving truck leaves to take whatever didn't make the cut.

What if something turns up that I want to keep?+

We stop and set it aside. Cash, keepsakes, documents and anything that looks like it matters gets handed to you, not loaded.
