Family-owned junk removal in Meridian, Idaho

Handled with care, at your pace

Clearing out a loved one's home is hard enough without the lifting. Nobody should have to do it alone, or in a rush.

You and your family keep what matters. We handle the rest, quietly and carefully, and we work at the pace the situation calls for. Anything with life left in it is offered for donation or recycled where possible.

If we come across something that looks personal or valuable, we set it aside and ask. Always.

How an estate cleanout usually goes

Usually the call comes after the hardest part is already behind the family. Someone has passed away or moved into care, the house has to be emptied, and there's a date coming: a listing, the end of a lease, a closing. Everyone's tired, and some of the family lives out of town.

So we keep it simple. First, a walk-through with whoever is making the decisions. You show us what the family is keeping and where it is. Some families tag it, some gather it into one room, some just tell us. Then we work room by room.

Anything that looks personal, like letters, photo albums, jewelry, a box of old papers or cash tucked in a drawer, goes into a set-aside pile for you to go through. We don't decide what matters to your family. If relatives are coming for certain furniture, we'll work around them or come back once they've been.

When the family can't all be there

A lot of estate work happens from a distance. A son in another state, a daughter who can only get away for a weekend. That's okay. Once we've agreed on what stays, we can work with nobody on site and send photos room by room, so you see things before they're gone.

We'll also take direction from whoever else is involved, whether that's the executor, the realtor or an attorney. Tell us who makes the calls, and we'll follow their lead.

Simple on purpose

    It's gone

We show up on time, load it, sweep up and haul it off. You don't lift a thing.

What the job depends on, and where things go

Every estate is different. The price depends on how much is in the house and how hard it is to get out. A home lived in for decades, with a full basement and a shop out back, is a bigger job than a condo. Older houses often have narrow stairs and small doorways, which take more care. We price it once we've seen it, and you'll have the number before we start.

Usable furniture, dishes, linens, tools and clothing go to donation first. Appliances and metal go to recyclers. Paint, chemicals and old fuel stay behind for the family to take to the county's hazardous waste drop-off, and we'll tell you where that is. The rest goes to the landfill.

Estate cleanout questions

Do we need to be there?+

It helps for the first walkthrough, so we know what's staying. After that, many families prefer to let us work and come back when it's done.

What if you find photos, papers or jewelry?+

We set anything that looks personal aside and ask before it goes anywhere.

Can the furniture be donated?+

Yes. Donation is our first stop for anything usable, and we'll recycle what we can of the rest.

Should we hold an estate sale first?+

That's up to you. If a sale is planned, we can come after it and clear whatever didn't sell. If there isn't time for one, we'll still get the usable things to donation.

Can you work with the executor or the realtor directly?+

Yes. Tell us who's making decisions and we'll take direction from them, and keep the rest of the family in the loop if you want.

Can you clear the garage, shop and sheds too?+

Yes. Outbuildings are often the fullest part of an older property. Old tools, lumber, paint cans and yard equipment all get sorted the same careful way.
