Eagle and the foothills
Eagle is still filling in. New subdivisions keep opening north of town and along the Boise River, from Two Rivers and Banbury Meadows to the newer streets inside Lexington Hills, and every one of those builds leaves behind packing material, scrap, and the stuff a mover decided not to keep.
The other side of Eagle is older. Downtown around State Street has homes that get remodeled rather than replaced, and a kitchen or basement redo generates its own pile fast - cabinets, flooring, drywall, fixtures that worked fine but didn't fit the plan.
Then there's the acreage north of Beacon Light, where horse properties and larger lots tend to collect outbuildings over the years: a shed that outlived its purpose, a hot tub nobody's turned on since last winter. Getting that kind of thing off a property usually comes down to access and how it was built, not just size.
Boise Bigfoot Junk Removal works all of these - new-build debris, remodel leftovers, old sheds and hot tubs on acreage, estate and garage cleanouts. If you're not sure where your job fits, a free estimate will sort it out.

Where It Goes, and What Eagle Requires
Eagle's trash and recycling are handled by Hardin Sanitation, not Republic, which also covers unincorporated parts of Ada County. Large item pickup - furniture, appliances, that kind of thing - has to be scheduled ahead of time for an extra fee rather than just set at the curb, and the carts won't take Freon appliances, tires, batteries, or electronics. Yard waste runs through a separate cart by subscription, with seasonal leaf drop sites at the West Eagle Park & Ride and Eagle Sports Complex.
If you'd rather haul it yourself, the Ada County Landfill, known locally as Hidden Hollow, sits off Seamans Gulch Road in the North Boise foothills, a short drive from Eagle via Hill Road or Highway 55. It takes trash, construction debris, yard waste, scrap metal and more, with fees for tires and Freon appliances, and loads need to be tarped or secured on the way there.
Remodeling or tearing something down comes with its own paperwork. The city requires a building permit for removal or demolition work, and since Eagle's streets fall under the Ada County Highway District, a dumpster parked on the road or sidewalk needs its own right-of-way permit.

Eagle questions
Does my regular trash service pick up big stuff like a couch or an old washer in Eagle?+
Not automatically. Hardin Sanitation, Eagle's residential provider, offers bulky item pickup for furniture and appliances, but it has to be scheduled ahead of time for an extra fee, and the carts won't take Freon appliances, tires, batteries, or electronics.
Where does junk from Eagle actually end up?+
Most of it goes to the Ada County Landfill off Seamans Gulch Road in the North Boise foothills, locally known as Hidden Hollow, reached from Eagle via Hill Road or Highway 55.
Do I need a permit to park a dumpster on my street during a remodel?+
Likely yes. Eagle's public streets fall under Ada County Highway District right-of-way, so a container sitting in the road, sidewalk, or shoulder needs its own temporary use permit.
What about an old shed or hot tub on a bigger lot north of Beacon Light?+
Those come down to access and how they were built more than size - things like old wiring, a water hookup, or how close a truck can actually get.
