Family-owned junk removal in Meridian, Idaho
All over Boise
Boise doesn't have one kind of house, so junk removal here doesn't look the same job to job. The North End and East End are full of older bungalows and Victorians on tight lots. Head out to the Bench or West Bench and it's mostly brick ranches and mid-century homes. Go further out to West Boise, Southeast Boise, or Barber Valley and you're in newer subdivisions with bigger garages. Downtown adds condos into the mix. Each one changes how a job gets done, from parking to how far something has to travel from the house to the truck.
That range is why we offer more than one kind of service. A garage cleanout in a newer subdivision usually means more volume. A hoarder cleanout or estate cleanout, especially in an older part of town, is slower and more about sorting than hauling. Appliance pickups, furniture and mattress removal, hot tubs, sheds, yard debris after a storm — we treat each one differently because the house and the situation call for it, not because we're running a script.
Boise Bigfoot Junk Removal is based in Meridian and works Boise regularly, along with Eagle, Meridian, and Nampa. We give you a clear estimate before anything gets loaded, and we leave the space cleaner than we found it. As the Ada County seat and the biggest city in the valley, Boise also brings more property and estate cleanouts our way — older homes changing hands, families clearing out a place after a move or a loss. We're set up for that kind of job, not just single-item pickups.

Where it actually goes, and what the city requires
Boise runs its own curbside program, Curb It, through Republic Services. Residents get a handful of free bulky item pickups a year — things like couches, mattresses, and fridges — plus extra Overflow Stickers if you need to set out more than the cart allows. It's a decent option for a single item or two. A full garage, a storm cleanup, or an estate full of furniture is a different scale than that program is built for.
If you'd rather haul it yourself, the Ada County Landfill — most locals just call it Hidden Hollow, out off Seamans Gulch Road in the north Boise foothills — takes household junk, construction debris, and yard waste. Tires and refrigerated appliances carry their own fees, loads have to be covered on the way in, and the landfill only takes waste that was actually generated in Ada County.
One thing a lot of people don't realize: Boise's streets and sidewalks belong to Ada County Highway District, not the city. If a dumpster or anything else is going to sit in the road, on the shoulder, or on a sidewalk, that needs its own right-of-way permit — separate from any demolition or building permit on the property itself.

Boise questions
Does the city's Curb It program cover my cleanout, or do I need to call someone?+
Curb It gives you a limited number of free bulky item pickups a year through Republic Services, which works fine for a couch or an old fridge. A garage, estate, or storm cleanup is usually more volume than that program is meant to handle.
Can I just drive a load out to the landfill myself?+
You can — the Ada County Landfill (Hidden Hollow, off Seamans Gulch Road) takes most household and yard waste, but tires and fridges carry their own fees, loads need to be covered, and it only accepts waste generated in Ada County.
Can I put a dumpster at the curb in front of my house for a few days?+
Boise's streets and sidewalks are managed by Ada County Highway District, so anything placed in the road, shoulder, or sidewalk needs its own right-of-way permit — that's separate from hauling junk away directly.
Can I just burn the branches and yard debris from a storm cleanup?+
Not in most of Boise — open burning is largely prohibited by Boise Fire, burn barrels aren't allowed, and burning gets banned outright on bad air days, so bagging or hauling the debris is the more reliable option.
